Chapter 414

Lake County, IL

Welcome to Lake County EAA Chapter 414

Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our chapter.  We are aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety and have a lot of fun doing so.

EAA Chapter 414 Monthly Meetings

Chapter meetings are generally held at the Warbird Heritage Foundation (3000 Corporate Drive, Waukegan, IL), located on the west side of Waukegan Airport (click here for directions). Meetings are often on the second Thursday of the month, but this can vary so check the calendar.

Young Eagles

We've been having bad luck so far with the weather!  Our first two rallies had to be scrubbed due to poor visibility.

Our next scheduled rally is on September 9 at Stick & Rudder, Waukegan National Airport. As soon as registration is open you can sign up here.  If the date on the sign-up site hasn't been updated to September 9, keep checking back.

You can keep informed on our rally schedule with our Young Eagles web page and our event Calendar.

Come see a legend

EAA 414 is excited to partner with EAA and Waukegan National Airport to host this legendary airplane, "Aluminum Overcast", this summer. The B-17 Flying Fortress is probably World War II's most iconic airplane, and certainly its most famous bomber. Whle over 10,000 B-17s were built by Boeing, fewer than 100 airframes still exist and far fewer than that are still flying. Here's a rare chance to see and fly in one.
